Hailey Ford is a journalist, former federal candidate for the riding of Oakville East, and Central West representative for the ONDY. She’s been on her riding association executive for approximately three years. Hailey has held various student leadership positions, published work in the Toronto Star, written an article nominated and shortlisted for the CWA Labour Reporting Award, has been working to revitalise Tough Times, the social advocacy publication produced by the Peel Poverty Action Group and is a part of the team founding The Public Alternative, the soon-to-be actualised ONDY news wing.
Hailey believes in democracy, transparency and in taking every available opportunity. She aims to help inspire conversation, competition and show that anyone and everyone with strong opinions and ideals can and should be bold, unafraid, and make themselves heard. Hailey will bring in new perspectives and challenge complacency, and ensure the desires of the membership are truly represented.
